His Eye Is on the Sparrow, Arr. by Anna Laura Page
This uplifting arrangement of the cherished hymn "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" is a beautiful reminder of God's watchful care over us. Anna Laura Page's sensitive and expressive setting features flowing melodic lines and lush harmonies, making it a touching addition to any worship service. The piece is both contemplative and joyous, capturing the essence of the hymn's message.
Saranam, Arr. by Sondra K. Tucker

"Saranam" is an evocative and heartfelt arrangement by Sondra K. Tucker, based on a hymn that expresses a deep longing for refuge and comfort in God's presence. The bell choir's rendition beautifully highlights the hymn's meditative and serene qualities, with gentle, resonant tones that create a sense of peace and solace. This arrangement is perfect for moments of reflection and prayer during the service.

    Sacking Hunger Challenge: Update!
Update: Thanks for everyone who donated non-perishable food items for the Sacking for Hunger challenge during the last two weekends. On Super Bowl Sunday, we collected 19.8 lbs. of food. This last Sunday, February 17th, we collected 49.7 lbs. of food, That's a grand total of 69.6 lbs.! These food items were donated to our local ICare food pantry. We still scored a victory against food insecurity!
The Great Plains Conference collected 130,567.41 pounds of food, and the Missouri Conference gathered 12,555.49 pounds, bringing the total to 143,122.9 pounds. While the total is about 25,000 pounds less than last year’s effort, the weight was enough to defeat our United Methodist friends in the Eastern Pennsylvania and Greater New Jersey conferences in a friendly competition to stock food pantry shelves across our mission fields. The Philadelphia area brought in 35,056.88 pounds of food this year.
Let's continue to make a difference together!
     -----------------
Our HPUMC community, along with many other UMC churches in Kansas and Missouri UMC Conferences, participated in the "Sack Hunger" challenge. We are happy to announce that our church alone collected 19.8 lbs. of nonperishable food items, which were donated to the ICare food pantry this morning!
A huge thank you to all the generous individuals who contributed to this effort.
Although the Chiefs vs. Eagles game didn't turn out as expected, we can still score a victory against food insecurity! The "Sack Hunger" Challenge continues until this Sunday, February 16th.
Please bring your nonperishable food items to the designated drop-off sites near the chapel or at the sanctuary. These items will be weighed and the totals must be submitted by Sunday afternoon to be included in the Great Plains / Missouri Conferences in friendly competition with the Philadelphia and New Jersy Conferences.
Let's continue to make a difference together!
